Today’s daily writing prompt asked about a quote that I live my life by or think of often.
There are a few quotes that come to mind, but the one I always think of, and it’s a quote from one of my favorite movies. The movie is “The Crow” and the line is “It can’t rain all the time.”
The movie is on the dark side. It centers around the death of Eric Draven and his girlfriend. Eric Draven was played by Brandon Lee, who came back to life, to avenge their deaths. There’s a tween girl named, Sarah, who spent a lot of time with the couple. At one point in the movie, Eric told Sarah, “It can’t rain all the time”. It was a lyric from one of his songs in the movie.
I saw that movie during a difficult period in my life and that quote shown like a beacon in the night sky. Over 30 years later, that quote stays front and center in my mind. I also, to this day, still recommend that movie. Skip the remakes and stick with the original. No one can ever replace Brandon Lee as Eric Draven!
