I would have to say the most famous person I have ever met was Wolfgang Puck. I was working as a server for a Spago event in San Francisco. It was a massive event and we had over 200 staff working on this event. My job for the event was to assist on a food station.
Prior to the event starting, I had a few moments to watch Wolfgang Puck cook outside. He was just inspiring to watch. Later, as the event was ready to begin, he walked around to all the food stations and asked each of us what we were serving. I knew this was very common (to check if servers were paying attention), but it was an exciting moment that I was able to just speak to him and state what he already knew.
I have long admired Wolfgang Puck and his cooking style. I was just another server, at yet another event he was hosting, but it was a memory that I will always have.
